This is a bit of a showoff piece of what trombones can do, traveling from fragile chamber music to triphoppy beats to flamenco to techno with a balkan edge.
The title means basically "Hell ain't a bad place to be", and the initial creepiness soon transforms to some kind of infernal party mood.
Written for the New Trombone Collective, Rotterdam, for their Slide Factory Festival.
Scored for 2 alto, 2 tenor, 1 bass and 1 contrabass trombone. If unavailable, the contrabass trombone part may be played on tuba.
